About

About

I’m a French-Canadian classical guitarist from Quebec, Canada. I grew up in a family environment where art, philosophical thought and creative ideas were all part of the mix!

Curious, creative and self-taught by nature, I began my musical journey through the winding and enriching path of progressive rock music that led me to “so-called” classical music, and then perfected the art of musical interpretation under the direction of maestro Alvaro Pierri. I also had the privilege of studying with composer and conductor Marc Bélanger.

Giving meaning to notes, expressing through forms and telling musical stories are the fundamental pillars that guide my artistic approach.

Gear

I play mainly on guitars by Canadian luthier René Wilhelmy, which I have owned and played since 1991. My recording setup is simple, straightforward and mobile to ensure enough flexibility depending on the moment, my feelings, the place or my inspiration.
